PICKAWAY – After dozen of crashes Tarlton Road ODOT says that they are aware and will do a study.

Over the past three days, two crashes involving seven vehicles have occurred at the intersection of US-23 and Tarlton Road. Over the last several years, the Tarlton Road intersection has been a hot spot for crashes mostly with left turns from US-23 onto Tarlton.

In a statement from ODOT today they reported that, “ODOT does not have any plans for this intersection. However, our safety team is aware of the crash history at U.S. 23 and Tarlton Road and will be taking a closer look at this intersection, including getting new traffic counts.”

While on scene at the last two crashes, several people including victims in the crash and first responders mentioned the long backups on US-23 because of a short left turn light. We brought this concern to ODOT in our emails and asked for additional traffic crash count and traffic survey information. We will keep you posted.
