COLUMBUS, Ohio (April 1, 2025) — The Ohio House Finance Committee released its amended version of the State Operating Budget today, featuring several provisions backed by Ohio Right to Life aimed at supporting mothers, infants, and families across the state.
Among the legislative wins for the pro-life organization:
- $10 million per fiscal year allocated to the Ohio Parenting and Pregnancy Fund
- A tax credit of up to $750 for donations made to Pregnancy Resource Centers
- Creation of a public electronic dashboard for tracking abortion statistics
- Continued funding for the Adoption Grant Program
- $500,000 per year for Maternal and Infant Housing Assistance
“These investments demonstrate a clear commitment to uplifting Ohio’s most vulnerable citizens,” said Emma Martinez, Director of Legislative Affairs for Ohio Right to Life. “We are grateful to Speaker of the House Matt Huffman and House Finance Chairman Brian Stewart for recognizing the critical need to support moms, babies, and families across our state.”
The amendments signal strong legislative support for pro-life initiatives in Ohio, aligning financial resources with the goals of family support, increased transparency in abortion reporting, and expanded access to maternal housing.
