BARNESVILLE – I know Pumpkin Festival right? Another Pumpkin contest is being held this week before our beloved Pumpkin Show, but this one just broke the state record.
Jeff Theil of Colerain, OH, near Dillonvale, weighed in the 2,195 giant gourd and not only won the show but also set a new state record.
This is the 57th Barnesville Pumpkin Festival that is celebrated last full weekend in September in Barnesville Ohio.
The festival starts its major events on Thursday, with parades, car shows, and other fun festival things.
