OHIO – It’s pretty obvious to any Ohioian that Ohio has been pretty active this year with tornadoes, but how active?
According to National Weather Service Ohio typically sees around 19 tornado touchdowns across the state per year, and in 2018 Ohio only had 17. This year we have so far confirmed 43 and we are only halfway through the year. This ranks Ohio as number 8 in the country on tornadoes.
Add that to the excessive rain and cold snap over the winter, farmers and corn/bean farmers are feeling natures wrath this year.
Ohio isn’t the only state feeling the wrath of nature so far this year. Across the country, 1225 tornadoes have been reported. According to national weather, this is the worst tornado season in 20 years.
