Chillicothe – The Ohio State Highway Patrol, partnering with the Ross County Sheriff’s Office and the Chillicothe Police Department, will conduct an OVI checkpoint tonight from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on South Bridge Street in Ross County.

The checkpoint, funded through federal grants, aims to deter and intercept impaired drivers. It will be accompanied by nearby saturation patrols to address impaired driving and prevent injury and fatal crashes related to intoxicated driving.

Authorities advise that if you plan to drink, you should designate a driver or arrange alternate transportation before consuming alcohol. The goal is to prevent needless tragedies caused by impaired driving.
