Circleville – The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Circleville Police Department and the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, announced today that an OVI Checkpoint will be held from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Lancaster Pike in the City of Circleville.
The OVI checkpoint is funded by federal grants, with the intention of both deterring people from driving while impaired and removing those who choose to do so from our roadways.
In addition to the checkpoint, saturation patrols will be utilized to further combat OVI related injury and fatal crashes.
If you plan to consume alcohol, please use a designated driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink. Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired.
