COLUMBUS, OH – Ohio is set to enter a new era of marijuana regulation as non-medical marijuana sales are scheduled to commence as early as next Tuesday, August 6. The launch of this dual-use market will enable Ohioans aged 21 and older to purchase both medical and recreational marijuana products.

The announcement marks a significant expansion in the state’s cannabis industry, providing millions of residents with greater access to marijuana products. Among the first to offer both medical and recreational sales is Sunnyside Medical Dispensaries, which operates several locations across Ohio.

Sunnyside’s dispensaries, known for their medical marijuana services, will soon cater to both medical and recreational customers. While the company has not yet confirmed whether its Chillicothe location will be among those opening on August 6, it is expected to be part of the broader rollout.

The new regulations reflect Ohio’s evolving stance on cannabis, aiming to enhance consumer access and create a more integrated marijuana market. For more information on the launch and participating dispensaries, residents can visit the Ohio Cannabis Control Program’s website or contact local dispensaries directly.
