Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague Celebrates 50 Years of Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center with Visit

CHILLICOTHE, OH — Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague visited Chillicothe on Wednesday to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center (CTC) and to tour the facility. During his visit, Sprague engaged with students and faculty members, gaining insights into the various programs and credentialing opportunities offered at the center.

In honor of the milestone anniversary, Treasurer Sprague presented a proclamation to the school’s leaders, acknowledging the CTC’s significant contributions over the past five decades.

“The strength of Ohio’s future is built upon the strength of its workforce,” Sprague remarked. “Over the past half century, the Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center has forged a lasting legacy of empowering Ohioans to reach their fullest potential and thrive in their chosen careers. It’s a pleasure to tour the facilities and get a glimpse of all the great work that is underway on the campus.”

The Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center offers more than 50 programs for high school students, enabling them to earn industry-recognized credentials and college credits. Additionally, the center provides career-based training for adults in various fields, including welding, nursing, and firefighting. The center’s extensive offerings reflect its commitment to equipping individuals with the skills needed to succeed in the workforce.
