Union Township, Clinton County – The Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a two-vehicle, double-fatality crash.
The crash occurred on December 6, 2022, at approximately 6:07 P.M. on SR-73, in Chester Township, Clinton County.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2005 Scion Hatchback, driven by Rosalinda Mendoza, age 18, of Clarksville, Ohio was traveling westbound on State Route 73 near Williams Road when her vehicle lost control and drove off the right side of the roadway. Her vehicle then continued back onto the roadway and traveled left of center. The Scion was then struck by a 2022 Honda Passport traveling eastbound. Ms. Mendoza and her passenger, Prezzleigh Goldie age 15, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Honda Passport was driven by an Alayna Carson, age 23 and was also occupied by her front passenger Natalia Guerrero age 17. They were transported to Green Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Assisting at the crash scene was the Chester Township Fire Department, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and Clinton County Coroner’s OfficerThe crash remains under investigation.
