Vinton – On June 25, 2019, the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Adult Parole Authority with a home visit of a parolee, Roger Dale Barber age 63 of Harkins Chapel Rd. During the visit it was found that Barber was in possession of firearms and was under a Disability from a felony conviction and not allowed to have weapons. A search warrant was obtained and executed by on the property. Approx 55 firearms were found and taken as evidence. A small amount of suspected methamphetamine was also found during a pat down of Barber.
Barber was arrested on a Parole Violation and taken to South Eastern Ohio Regional Jail. Additional charges of Having Weapons under Disability will be filed.
