Pedestrian Injured in Hit-Skip Crash in Ross County

Chillicothe, OH – March 10, 2025 – The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a hit-skip crash involving a pedestrian in Ross County.

The incident occurred at 6:48 A.M. at the intersection of Marietta Road and Hopetown Road. According to reports, the victim had stopped their vehicle at a stop sign to attend to a child inside. As they finished at the left rear of the vehicle, a passing motorist struck them and fled the scene, heading northbound on Marietta Road.

Emergency responders from Springfield Township and Green Township EMS evaluated the victim at the scene. The victim was then transported to Adena Regional Medical Center and later transferred to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for further treatment.

Authorities are seeking information regarding the suspect vehicle and are urging anyone with details to contact the Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The Ross County Sheriff’s Department, Springfield Township EMS, and Green Township EMS/Fire Department assisted at the scene. This incident remains under investigation.
