Circleville, OH — On Wednesday, the Pickaway County Commissioners celebrated the launch of Phase II of the Pickaway Agriculture & Event Center with a dynamic fundraising campaign kickoff event at Heritage Hall. Local business owners and community members gathered to pledge substantial contributions to support the next stage of this ambitious project.

The expansion marks a significant milestone for the Pickaway Agriculture & Event Center (PAEC) and the broader Pickaway County community. Phase I, completed in 2019, included Heritage Hall, a versatile building; the Show Pavilion, an outdoor arena; an amphitheater; a community plaza; and five barns. Since its opening, the PAEC has become a hub for various events, including the county fair, livestock shows, sports tournaments, banquets, and concerts. The facilities have attracted numerous organizations and have been used for everything from craft shows to youth events.

One notable fundraiser, Gun-A-Palooza, hosted annually by the Pickaway County Agricultural Society, has contributed significantly to maintaining the center. Since 2018, the society has donated over $605,000, with 75% of the event’s proceeds going to the Pickaway Agriculture & Event Center Fund.

With growing demand for its facilities, the time has come for Phase II. This new phase will introduce a two-story banquet facility designed to host elegant events such as wedding receptions, reunions, and anniversary parties. The expansion aims to provide affordable options for community gatherings and celebrations, further enhancing the PAEC’s role as a central venue for both exhibitions and cherished community occasions.

The fundraising campaign will play a crucial role in bringing this vision to life, ensuring the center can continue to meet the evolving needs of Pickaway County.
