Pickaway County – Firefighters Rescue Kittens and Mother Cat from Storm Drain in Scioto Crossing

SCIOTO CROSSING – Early this morning, local firefighters undertook an extraordinary rescue mission, retrieving seven kittens and their mother from a storm drain in the neighborhood. Engine 401 responded to the scene where Firefighter Fabbro courageously entered the sewer to execute the rescue.

Using specialized tools from Engine 401, Fabbro successfully retrieved all seven kittens from the storm drain. Simultaneously, a coordinated effort involved inflating and inserting a hose from the opposite end of the drain to safely extract the mother cat.

“We’re thrilled to report that all the kittens are in good health,” said a spokesperson from the rescue team. “They appeared to be ‘feline’ fine despite their ordeal.”
