PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — A routine traffic stop escalated into a high-speed pursuit Sunday evening, ultimately resulting in the arrest of two individuals with active warrants, according to a report from the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on April 13, a deputy observed a 2004 light blue Honda Odyssey with visible damage — a shattered windshield and a broken rear passenger window — traveling southbound on U.S. Route 23. The vehicle committed several traffic infractions near the intersection of US-23 and the US-23 Access Road, including running a red light and failing to yield at a stop sign.

When the deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the parking lot of a South Court Street gas station, the driver fled the scene at a high rate of speed. The pursuit reached speeds exceeding 100 mph as the vehicle swerved through traffic, drove into oncoming lanes, and veered off-road to avoid being stopped.
The pursuit came to a halt near the village of South Bloomfield, after the vehicle lost its rear left tire near U.S. 23 and Little Walnut Road. Law enforcement, including the Ohio State Highway Patrol, was able to block the vehicle and bring it to a stop near Mile Marker 17.

Three occupants were taken into custody at the scene without further incident. The driver, identified as Tammy Bartoe, was arrested and charged with multiple traffic offenses, including fleeing from law enforcement. Bartoe was also found to have multiple active warrants for her arrest.

The front-seat passenger, Leslie Mullins, the registered owner of the vehicle, denied involvement in Bartoe’s decision to flee. The rear passenger, Jeremy Mullins, was also found to have active warrants and was transported to the Pickaway County Jail alongside Bartoe.
A search of the vehicle revealed nothing criminal in nature. The vehicle was towed and impounded, with the keys submitted into evidence.
No injuries were reported in the incident. Charges against Bartoe are Failure to comply, turn and stop signals, disobeying traffic control, and driving under suspension.
