Pickaway County – Man Arrested with 31 Grams of Methamphetamine During Traffic Stop

Pickaway County – According to Sheriff Matthew O. Hafey on October 3, 2023 at 6:54 PM the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office along with the South Central Ohio Major Crimes Unit conducted a traffic stop on a 2010 Black Honda Accord on US 23 in the area of Little Walnut Road southbound for a speed violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Ira C. Six out of Stoutsville, Ohio.

A MCU Police K9 was ran around the vehicle for a free air narcotics sniff and it alerted to the odor of narcotics.

After a search of the Honda Accord a burnt smoking pipe, a scale, clear plastic baggies and over 31 grams of suspected methamphetamine was located in the vehicle.

Ira Six was transported to the Pickaway County Jail where he was charged with Trafficking in Drugs a Felony of the 2nd Degree and Possession of Drugs a Felony of the 2nd Degree.

Sheriff Hafey would like to thank the South Central Ohio Major Crimes Unit for their continued collaboration. Sheriff Hafey also reports this traffic stop and arrest is just a step in a continued investigation into drug trafficking organizations within Pickaway County.
