Franklin County, Ohio – Tragedy struck Wednesday morning as one person lost their life in a head-on collision involving a semitrailer near Grove City, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. on state Route 104, just south of Hibbs Road. A 2024 Kenworth semitrailer was traveling northbound on SR-104, while a 2001 Ford F-150 was heading south.
According to the sheriff’s office, the F-150 crossed the centerline into the northbound lane, resulting in a devastating head-on collision with the semi. The impact caused the semi to veer off the west side of the road before coming to a stop, while the F-150 came to rest across both lanes of SR-104.
Responding swiftly to the scene were deputies, Grove City police officers, and Jackson Township EMS. Tragically, the driver of the F-150 Clyde Evans, of Pickaway County was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the semi was evaluated for injuries on-site.
