
At 3:55pm authorities reported that an eastbound Toyota SUV, occupied by a single female, came to a complete stop on OH-762, just east of Sharp Road, near the corrections center in the former Village of Orient. Simultaneously, an eastbound GMC pickup, driven by a male, was unable to stop in time, having failed to realize the SUV was at a standstill. The reason for the vehicle’s complete stop in the roadway has not yet been determined by authorities and remains under investigation.

The driver of the Toyota was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. First responders included the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Dept, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Scioto Twp Fire-Rescue, EMS, Jackson Twp Fire-Rescue, and EMS.
