Pickaway County – One person was injured after a crash in Commerical Point.
At approximately 8:35p, a silver Hyundai was traveling south on Welch Rd when the driver lost control. According to law enforcement and a witnesses, the driver, a 16-year-old from Ashville, was traveling at excessive speed and attempting to pass other vehicles when the juvenile lost control, left the roadway crossed a ditch, then rolled the vehicle at least three times before it came to a rest in a farm field.
Reportedly, the driver was transported to Grove City Hospital for minor injuries. OSP said on scene that the juvenile was wearing his seat belt and airbags deployed that kept the teen from major injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. First responders include Ohio State Highway Patrol, Commerical Point Police and Scioto Township EMS, and Rescue.
