Pickaway County – Three people were injured after a crash between a Prison bus and a vehicle occurred in the county

According to reports at 1:05 this afternoon, several first responders were dispatched to OH-762, and Matville Rd. The driver of a northbound Honda failed to yield to a westbound prison transport bus that was heading to Orient causing a collision in the intersection. The impact caused the bus to go off of the right edge of the roadway into a ditch ultimately flipping the bus onto its side before coming to a rest. The car left the roadway also.

According to authorities, there were a total of five people on the bus, three of whom were transported to a Columbus hospital with minor injuries. No names were available at the time of the crash as it remains under investigation.

First responders include The Ohio State Highway Patrol, Pickaway County Sheriff’s Dept, Scioto Twp EMS and Rescue, and Jackson Twp EMS.
