CHILLICOTHE, OH – Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center (CTC) is proud to celebrate February as Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, a nationwide observance recognizing the critical role CTE programs play in preparing students for high-demand careers.

Throughout the month, Pickaway-Ross CTC will highlight the impact of hands-on learning, industry partnerships, and career pathways that empower students while strengthening the local workforce.

With the theme “CTE: Building Skills, Shaping Futures,” the celebration will focus on four key aspects of career-tech education:

  • Real-World Skills, Real Opportunities: Hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for career success.
  • Community & Industry Connections: Partnerships that drive workforce development.
  • Adult Pathways to Success: Opportunities for career advancement and retraining.
  • Innovation in Education: Cutting-edge programs that keep students ahead of industry trends.

“Career and technical education is essential to our community’s prosperity,” said Jonathan Davis, Superintendent of Pickaway-Ross CTC. “By supporting CTE, we are not only providing students with life-changing opportunities that help them enroll, enlist, or secure high-quality employment, but we are also ensuring our local industries have a highly skilled workforce.”

Throughout February, Pickaway-Ross CTC will showcase student success stories, industry collaborations, and innovative programs that prepare learners for the future. Activities will include social media campaigns, student showcases, and engagement with local businesses to promote the value of career-tech education.
