Chillicothe, Aug. 20, 2023 — Get ready to rock and roll as the Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center announces the highly anticipated 15th Annual Battle of the Bands, set to take place on Friday, September 8th. This event will begin when the first band steps off at 9:30 a.m., featuring an array of talent from 10 home school bands competing for the coveted trophy and the honor of having their name inscribed on it.
The Battle of the Bands has become a cherished tradition. This year’s lineup is nothing short of spectacular, featuring home school bands from Adena, Huntington, Southeastern, Chillicothe, Zane Trace, Unioto, Circleville, Westfall, Logan Elm, and Paint Valley.
Unioto, the reigning champions, have clinched victory for the past two years. Will they manage a remarkable 3-peat, or will another contender rise to the occasion and steal the spotlight? The competition promises to be fierce, with each band bringing their unique style and energy to their performance.
“We are thrilled to host the 15th Annual Battle of the Bands and provide a platform for these talented home school bands to showcase their musical prowess,” said Jason Vesey, Director of Secondary Education at Pickaway-Ross CTC. “This event not only highlights the incredible musical talent within our community but also fosters a sense of camaraderie and friendly competition among the band and our students.”
The event will take place at the Pickaway-Ross CTC’s main campus, located at 895 Crouse Chapel Rd, Chillicothe. The public is welcome to attend but are encouraged to bring their own chairs and arrive early. The first band will begin at 9:30.
