James Pickering, 69, of Ashville, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015.
He was born on March 25, 1946, in Circleville, to James and Marjorie (Peters) Pickering.
He was a graduate of Teays Valley High School and Capital University. He was a retired American history teacher at Teays Valley Middle School. He was dedicated to his church and his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Pickering.
James is survived by his mother, Marjorie Pickering; wife, Deborah Pickering; children, Christopher (Kimberly) Pickering and David Pickering; siblings, Richard Pickering and Thomas Pickering; and grandchild, Connor Pickering.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
