School donates to food pantry through candy cane sale

The Ashville Elementary School staff and students gave back to their community by sponsoring a candy cane sale that raised $657.

The money was donated to the Ashville Food Pantry to help replenish their food during the holiday season.

All of the candy canes were donated by Ashville staff members.

“This year the staff and students of Ashville Elementary exceeded all past totals for our candy cane sale,” said Erin Wilson, second grade teacher. “We feel great giving back to our community, and we hope this helps teach our kids about giving and helping others in need.”
