David Milton Weaver, 74, born Jan. 13, 1942, passed away at Circleville’s Berger Hospital on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Marvene C. Weaver; and brother, James R. Weaver.
He is survived by his brother, William L. Weaver; sisters-in-law, Sharon K. Weaver and Myrtle Weaver; niece, Lynn (Chris) Stephens; nephew, Kevin Weaver; great-niece, Jill (Travis) Ebert, and their children, Cord and Calla. He was the beloved uncle to Jeffrey, Kenneth, Steven and Scott (Jennifer) and children, Zoe and Max. Special friends include Alice Harriman and May Cains.
David received a BSC degree from Ohio State University and a master’s degree in economics from Wichita State University. It was at Wichita State where David became a loyal fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.
David was a U.S. Navy veteran and served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal.
Friends will also remember the Halloween parties that he hosted for many years at his Circleville residence.
Recently David did considerable volunteer work at the Circleville Public Library, where he designed advertising-type pamphlets and other book promotion themes and materials mostly for children’s books.
The family would like to thank the staff at Berger Hospital, Bradley Cancer Center and Logan Elm Health Care for their kindness this past year.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, followed by a short service at the Wellman Funeral Home, 1455 N. Court St., Circleville.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
