At Walnut Elementary School, a student from each homeroom is chosen as the “Student of the Month” by the staff members at Walnut.
The students are recognized for improvement in grades or good grades, good attendance or improvement in attendance, character, behavior, attitude toward others/learning, good citizenship or improvement in citizenship, classroom participation, demonstrating responsibility and/or respectful to peers and teachers.
Students of the Month for December are Trevor Ellis, Logan Earliwine and Eli Hilgenberg, kindergarten; Sydney Brumfield, Camren Freeman and Grace Murlin, first grade; Barret Boardman, Jayden Erwin and Joshua Zimmer, second grade; Kylie Burgett, Abigail Blake and Katie Reynard, third grade; Kate Kelly, Jordyn Hall and Alana Weaver, fourth grade; and Zane Travis, Kayli Clark and Chris Wells, fifth grade.
