Betsey Furniss, age 85, of Williamsport, passed away Feb. 4, 2016, at her residence.
She was born April 22, 1930, in Derby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mildred Mouser; sisters, Audrey and Pat; sons, Baby boy and John Furniss; and granddaughter, Jonnie Sue Anderson.
Betsey is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Jim, whom she married Sept. 23, 1947; daughter, Rhonda Phillips (Chet); daughter-in-law, Susan Furniss; grandchildren, Kirk and Stephanie Furniss, Julie (Tim) Wickline and James (Kristen) Phillips; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Chase Anderson, Alissa, Alexis, Bryce and Blake Wickline, Hannah and Cooper Phillips; and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, at Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling, Rev. Jim Ferrell officiating, with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday.
