March 17

– A resident in the 200 block of Island Road reported someone had keyed his semi truck and vehicle. A report was taken on vandalism.

– A resident in the 26000 block of Locust Grove Road, New Holland, reported someone had stolen a bicycle out of her yard. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 11000 block of Burro Lane, Orient, reported someone had entered her residence and stolen several items. A report was taken on burglary.

– A deputy was dispatched to the Williamsport IGA on reports of a domestic dispute. A report was filed.

– A deputy responded to West Ballard Avenue, Williamsport, on reports of harassment and a resident shooting a firearm. A report was filed.

– A deputy responded to a domestic dispute on Green Street, Williamsport. A report was filed.

– A caller in the 2000 block of Walnut Creek Pike, Circleville, reported found property. The property was taken to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office and placed into evidence for safekeeping.

– J. Schweitzer, 60, of Kingston, struck a deer while traveling on Commercial Point Road. No injuries were reported.

– Herbert Hoffmannbeck, 55, of Williamsport, struck a deer while traveling on state Route 104. No injuries were reported.

March 18

– A resident in the 500 block of Northridge Road reported an unknown person had damaged two windows. A report was taken on criminal damaging.

– A resident in the 8000 block of Tarlton Road reported someone had been making charges to his credit card in several states over the past five months.

– A resident in the 4000 block of Duvall Road reported an unknown person shot out the driver’s side window of his vehicle. A report was taken on criminal damaging.

– A deputy responded to the railroad trestle at state Route 762 where unknown subjects had been attempting to steal railroad spikes from the tracks.

– A resident in the 5000 block of Mattox Circle, Orient, reported receiving a voice mail from an unknown male threatening to harm her. A report was taken.

– A deputy responded to reports of a domestic dispute in the 8000 block of Stoutsville Pike, Circleville. A report was filed.

– A deputy responded to the 4800 block of Duvall Road on a 911 hang-up. The residents checked OK and agreed to have their phone service checked.

– A deputy responded to the Mackey Ford Wildlife area on state Route 762, Lockbourne, on the report of four dead deer. The deputy stood by for a wildlife officer, and a report was filed.

– A resident in the area of U.S. Route 22 and Scioto Darby Creek reported a fire in a gravel roadway. Williamsport Fire arrived and extinguished the fire. An ODNR officer arrived and spoke with two subjects at the scene. A report was filed.

– A deputy responded to the 400 block of Cedar Heights Road, Circleville, on a reported hit-skip accident that possibly occurred in the Walmart parking lot.

– Brittany Sprouse, 26, of Chillicothe, advised she was backing out of a parking space at Captain D’s on U.S. Route 23 when she was struck by a vehicle driven by Donald Kasler, 87, of Circleville. A report was taken on a private property accident.

March 19

– A resident in the 14000 block of state Route 56 West, Mt. Sterling, reported an unknown person entered a vacant residence and removed several items. A report was taken on breaking and entering.

– A resident on East Scioto Street, Commercial Point, reported someone stole a bicycle from in front of the Hawk gas station.

– A deputy responded with Clearcreek Fire units on reports of a vehicle fire in the 7000 block of Old Tarlton Pike, Circleville.

– A deputy responded with the Pickaway Township Fire Department on reports of a suspicious package in the 1400 block of South Court Street. The fire department deemed the package was safe.

– A resident in the 10000 block of Darby Creek Road, Orient, reported a suspicious vehicle in the area. A deputy made contact with the driver, and the scene checked OK.

– A deputy responded to Main Street in Commercial Point to meet a person to assist with property.

– A deputy responded to an activated alarm in the 7000 block of Lane Road, Orient. Nothing appeared to be disturbed.

– A deputy responded to reports of a domestic dispute in the 10000 block of Gibson Road, Ashville. The subject left the scene prior to the deputy’s arrival.

– A deputy responded to a domestic dispute in the 10600 block of Ashville Pike, Lockbourne. The subject left the scene prior to the deputy’s arrival.

– A deputy responded to an activated alarm in the 5000 block of Tarlton Road, Circleville. Everything checked secure.

– Seth Hooper, 20, of Circleville, advised his vehicle drifted off the roadway on Island Road, and he over-corrected, going off the road and sideswiping a utility pole. No injuries were reported.

– Valerie Mechling, 37, of Amanda, struck a deer while traveling on U.S. Route 22. No injuries were reported.

– Jack Plumley, 48, of Bexley, struck a deer while traveling on U.S. Route 23. No injuries were reported.

– Gilbert Ratliff, 56, of Ashville, struck a deer while traveling on U.S. Route 23. No injuries were reported.
