Bruce Emerson Adams, 62, of Circleville, lovingly known to many as Super Bruce and Gunny, passed away on Feb. 9, 2016.
He was born on May 25, 1953, in Circleville.
He was a retired Gunnery Sgt. with the United States Marine Corps, member of BPOE #77, Eagles, VFW, Moose Lodge, AMVETS and the American Legion.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Russell and Kitty Adams; mother and step-father, Patricia and Fred Schob; and sister, Colleen Rittinger.
Bruce is survived by daughter, Bridgette Adams; grandson, Dean Waylon Emerson Adams; sisters, Belinda Adams, Kathy (Dan) Phillips and Karena (Mark) Phillips; brother-in-law, Danny Rittinger; aunt, Shirley (Ted) Raymond; and girlfriend, Valerie West. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and beloved pets, Ace and Sissy.
Funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, in the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon Saturday at the funeral home.
