Mary Ann Pumphrey, 84, of Zanesville, died Thursday, March 3, 2016.
She was born April 22, 1931, in Columbus, to the late George Thomas and Jennie Melinda (Arthur) Eblin.
She was a 1949 graduate of Linden McKinley High School and a member of Northridge Church of Christ in Circleville. She retired from School Employees Retirement System.
Mary was deeply committed to her family and her faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, H. Eugene Pumphrey; siblings, Marguerite Travis, Delmar Eblin and Catherine Hatton; brothers-in-law, Wilbert Travis and Wayland Hatton; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Eblin and Catherine Eblin.
Mary is survived by children, Melinda Pumphrey, Dee Dee (John) Warnock, Herb (Kim) Pumphrey and Mark (Diane) Pumphrey; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank Eblin and Clarence (Mary) Eblin; brother-in-law, Joe (Elaine) Pumphrey; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, and 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus. Interment will follow at Glen Rest Cemetery.
