Staff Reports

The following cases recently were heard by Judge P. Randall Knece in Pickaway County Common Pleas Court:

– Justin D. Abner, 33, of Lancaster, pleaded not guilty to 11 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor and 20 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance. A pretrial hearing is set for April 8.

– Joshua L. Bailey, 35, of Williamsport, pleaded guilty to failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer. He will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– Rusty L. Brown, 36, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to non-support of dependents. He will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– Terri N. Byrd, 25, of Villa Drive, Circleville, pleaded guilty to a violation of terms of intervention. She was sentenced to nine months in state prison at Marysville and a six-month driver’s license suspension.

– Dustin Q. Carver, 34, of Pontius Lane, Circleville, pleaded not guilty to forgery and receiving stolen property. A pretrial hearing is set for April 8.

– John R. Conkel, 28, of East Franklin Street, Circleville, pleaded not guilty to theft from the elderly. A pretrial hearing is set for April 8.

– Tyler D. Cressonie, 29, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs. He was sentenced to 12 months in state prison (suspended), a $1,000 fine and a six-month driver’s license suspension.

– Taylor C. Dennis, 25, of Clifton Road, Mt. Sterling, pleaded not guilty to burglary and grand theft. A pretrial hearing is set for April 8.

– Johanna A. Elfrink, 32, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to a violation of terms of intervention. She was ordered to continue intervention with credit for jail time served.

– Alyssa M. Gloyd, 27, of East Street, Ashville, pleaded guilty to attempted grand theft and grand theft of a motor vehicle. She will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– Martin J. Hanley, 32, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin. He was sentenced to three years of intervention.

– Nikki L. Herron, 30, of West Water Street, Circleville, pleaded guilty to illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs. She was sentenced to 24 months in state prison (suspended), a six-month driver’s license suspension and 30 days in the county jail.

– Eldon J. Long III, 37, of Washington Court House, pleaded guilty to non-support of dependents. He will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– James L. Morrison II, 30, of Washington Court House, pleaded guilty to non-support of dependents. He was sentenced to three years of intervention.

– Kelli D. Painter, 34, of Waverly, pleaded guilty to theft. She will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– Terry T. Pullen, 37, of Lucasville, pleaded guilty to assault on a corrections officer. He was sentenced to nine months in state prison at Orient.

– Jeanie M. Rister, 35, of state Route 56 East, Circleville, pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs. A pretrial hearing is set for April 8.

– Cody J. Spears, 20, of Lovely, Kentucky, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana. Spears was sentenced to three years of intervention.

– Tyler D. Sunday, 32, of Hartsough Road, Laurelville, pleaded guilty to a violation of community control. He was sentenced to 24 months in state prison at Orient.

– Mollie S. Tufford, 30, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to escape. She was sentenced to eight months in state prison at Marysville.

– Malcom M.M. Turner, 24, of Frankfort, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property. He was sentenced to three years of intervention.

– Joshua K. Williams, 20, of Columbus, pleaded not guilty to theft and forgery. A pretrial hearing is set for April 8.

– April L. Brown, 42, of East Franklin Street, Circleville, pleaded guilty to burglary and petty theft. She will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– E. Rena Jones, 55, of East Franklin Street, Circleville, pleaded guilty to theft from the elderly. She was sentenced to 18 months in state prison (suspended), a $1,000 fine, $1,042 in restitution, three years of community control and 90 days in the county jail.

– Timothy M. Karshner, 38, of Ett-Noeker Road, Ashville, pleaded guilty to a violation of community control. He was sentenced to 16 months in state prison at Orient.

– Nelson G. Milliken Jr., 46, of Frankfort, pleaded guilty to failure to comply with the order or signal of a police office. He was sentenced to 36 months in state prison (suspended), a 10-year driver’s license suspension and 90 days in the county jail.

– Jvon L. Stapleton, 26, of Chillicothe, pleaded guilty to gross sexual imposition. He was sentenced to 30 months in state prison at Orient and is classified as a Tier II sex offender with 25 years registration required.
