CIRCLEVILLE – A Logan man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday on Kingston-Adelphi Road, according to Lt. Steven Herron, Circleville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The victim, Paul E. Ringhiser, 87, of Logan, was the passenger in a 1995 Buick Century driven by Juanita G. Ringhiser, 82, of Chillicothe, when the crash occurred.

According to reports, the vehicle was traveling westbound on Kingston-Adelphi Road west of state Route 159 about 2:47 p.m. when it went off the north side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and landed on its top.

Paul Ringhiser was pronounced dead at the scene, Herron said. Juanita Ringhiser was transported to Adena Medical Center, then transferred to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for treatment of her injuries.

Herron said both occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation.
