Roger D. Sparks, age 62, of Mt. Sterling, died May 25, 2016, at OSU Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 20, 1954, in Columbus.
Roger was a member of Masonic Lodge #269 F & AM of Mt. Sterling; Sterling Chapter #74 O.E.S; Aladdin Shrine; Kentucky Colonel; and K of P Talmadge Lodge #194.
He was preceded in death by parents, Marvin and Betty Sparks and Walter and Marjorie White; brother, Buddy Sparks; sister, Roxann Coy; and father-in-law, Kenneth McMurray.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kelly; daughters, Charlotte Sparks (David) and Michelle Floyd (Thomas); grandchildren, Nicholas, Tiffany and Leland; sister, Jerri (Floyd) Williams; mother-in-law, Barbara McMurray; and sister-in-law, Sandra McMurray.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling, Rev. Densil Wright officiating, with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. A military service will be given for the Army veteran at the grave site. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. Both Masonic and Eastern Star services will be given during the funeral service.
