Arnold “Pete” Peters, 77, of Circleville, passed away July 17, 2016, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on March 18, 1939, in Circleville, the son of Frank and Mabel (Diltz) Peters.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked for Wes Edstrom Motors as a mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Ronald Duvall; brother-in-law, Richard Miller; and half-brother, Jack Diltz.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Ortman) Peters; children, Frank Peters, Kelly Peters and Monica (Jeremy) Bell; step-children, Becky Cook and Karolyn (Tim) Green; granddaughter, Allee Bell; 12 step-grandchildren, Heather Cook, Chris Green, Tim Green Cook Jr., Matt Green Cook, Joey Green Cook, Jerry Cook Jr. III, Alicia, Crystal, Jessica and Cration Cook, Dylan Farley and Brittany Coleman; 15 step-great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Miller; several nieces and nephews, including Rhonda Kellough, Duane Miller and Tonja Miller; and beloved pet, Dink.
Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday July 20, 2016, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with military honors. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday.
