Charles Elden “Charlie” Dunkle, 81, of Circleville, passed away on Sept. 4, 2016.

He was born in Kingston on April 25, 1935, to Alfred and Mary (Karr) Dunkle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harry and Paul; half-brothers, Clyde, Norman, Kay and Gerald; and by half-sister, Blanch Kerns.

Charlie, an Army veteran, retired from Big Bear Stores after 40 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church 50-plus years, American Legion Post 134, AMVETS Post 2256 and Circleville Mens Chorus, which provided great friendship and enjoyment.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda (Dresbach) Dunkle; children, Carla (Mike) McCoy and Susan (Mike) Robinson; and by grandchildren, Amanda McCoy and Monica and Madison Robinson.

Burial will take place at a later date.
