Don Burnell Thomas, 83, of South Bloomingville, passed away on Sept. 29, 2016.
He was born on Nov. 16, 1932, in Hocking County, to Maynard and Maudie (Taylor) Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Gene and Edward Thomas.
He was an Army veteran.
Don is survived by his wife, Mary (Walton) Thomas; children, Sharon (Ronnie) Hart, LuAnn (Jim) Francis, Chris (Denise) Thomas and Lynn (Mike) Starner; grandchildren, Amy, Emily, Erin, Kristen, Lauren, Christopher, Rachel and Michele; and great-grandchildren, Madison and Kaylyn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville, with burial to follow in Green Summit Cemetery with military honors. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home in Laurelville.
