Myrtle Juanita Weaver, 79, of Circleville, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at her home.

She was born on Jan. 11, 1937, in Hillsboro, to the late Lawrence and Lura (Knisley) Streber and was a graduate of Circleville High School.

She married James Weaver in 1958 and they were married 55 years prior to his passing in 2013.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, Bill and Tommy Streber.

She was a member of Pontius United Methodist Church, where she had served as treasurer for 37 years and also touched many lives with her love of music with the junior church group.

Myrtle is survived by her children, Lynne (Chris) Stephens and Kevin Weaver; granddaughter, Jill (Travis) Ebert; great-grandchildren, Cord and Calla Ebert; and sisters, Martha Parcels, Maxine Streber and Shirley (Jack) Smith.

Myrtle spent many years volunteering at the Community Kitchen and Berger Hospital, in addition to devotion to numerous charities. The joy of her life was having family together, especially time spent with Jill, Cord and Calla.

Family received visitors from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, and one hour before the service with Pastor John Ash at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, with burial following in Floral Hills Memory Garden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pontius Church or Berger Hospice, which has the family’s unending gratitude for their excellent care of our loved one.
