Beverly A. Schlosser, 77, of Stoutsville, went home to her Lord and family in heaven on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born June 15, 1939, in Circleville, and was the daughter of the late Leslie and Mary (Starkey) Brown.
Beverly attended Circleville High School, and on Nov. 9, 1957, she married the love of her life, Merlyn A. Schlosser, who survives. They had a wonderful life as she traveled the world with her loving husband while he was in the Air Force. They lived in Maryland, Michigan, Japan and Okinawa. Together they raised five children.
She is survived by her only daughter, Colleen (Chris) Plaut of Laurelville; four sons, Arthur and Gary Schlosser of Stoutsville, Mark and Jeff Schlosser of Tarlton; grandson, Cody Schlosser of Lancaster; granddaughters, Staci Hall (Allen Shaffer) of Junction City, Kylea and Kelsey Schlosser of Columbus, Heidi and Holly Schlosser of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two great-grandsons, A.J. and Tony; four great-granddaughters, Loretta and Trinety Crist, Amy and Brittany Shaffer; and her beloved dog, Snitzel. She also is survived by her brothers, Richard Brown of Stoutsville, Bob (Lyndol) Brown of South Perry and Sonny (Sue) Brown of Circleville; sisters-in-law, Barb Brown of Circleville and Florabelle Kruzel of Cross Village, Michigan; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Hazel Dumm, Wayne and Corrina Samson and Debbie Smith, all of Stoutsville.
Bev was a special lady who enjoyed cooking, playing bingo and mostly being surrounded by family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank Berger Hospice and Constance Care for the care they gave Beverly during her illness.
Cremation is being handled with care by the Taylor Funeral Home. No services will be observed. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
