David Larry Goodman, 77, of Laurelville, passed away March 7, 2017, in Adena Hospital, Chillicothe.
He was born Dec. 12, 1939, to the late Charles and Ada (Steele) Goodman.
He was Fire Chief for Adelphi Fire Department for many years and also a paramedic. He was a carpenter by trade.
Larry is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sue; daughters, Janelle Goodman of Chillicothe and Jennifer Thurston; son, Shane Goodman; grandchildren, Sumer Smith of Chillicothe, Justin Hutchinson of Amanda and Harlee Thurston of Grove City; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marilyn Patterson of Adelphi and Ida Heyduck of Powder Springs, Georgia. He was a very special uncle to Pamela Patterson, Trent Patterson, Colton (US Marines) and Cayden Patterson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville. Burial with military honors will follow in Green Summit Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
