Bona V. (Kauffman) Christy, 53, of Ashville, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
She was born April 11, 1963, in Hamden, to the late Ronald and Gertrude Virgene (Bolton) Kauffman.
Bona had previously worked for DFS Eddie Bauer in Columbus and was a graduate of Columbus South High School in 1981.
She is survived by daughters, Desiree Kauffman of Amanda and Stevie Kauffman (Christopher Hesson) of Obetz; son, Quentin Christy of Ashville; three grandchildren, Peyton, Liam and Emmilynn; brothers and sisters, Eric, Donald, Tina and Judi; and nieces, Jennifer and Becki.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville, with Pastor Ron Goodling officiating.
The family request in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the funeral home for expenses.
