Tammy Lou Bowers, age 59, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2017.
She was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, to her parents, Arthur and Beverly Davis.
Although she was born in Texas, Tammy grew up in Circleville, a city she loved dearly.
Tammy was a woman who lived to give to others; making someone’s day made her day, and her life is proof of that.
After 30 years of faithful service, Tammy retired from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. She was also a volunteer at the Circleville Fire EMS Station 1 for 39 years. Tammy was a volunteer in the Berger Hospital Gift Shop and served on the PICCA board. She valued her city so much, she proudly served as councilwoman for two terms.
More than anything, however, Tammy loved her family, as they were her world.
Tammy is preceded in death by her parents.
Left to mourn her passing is her loving husband, Brent F. Bowers, whom she married July 21, 1978, and enjoyed 38 years of wonderful marriage.
Also in mourning is her daughter, Jessica M Bowers; her brother, Art Davis; her sisters, Vivian (Sam) Pound and Terri (Susan) Davis; sister-in-law, Tammy Davis; several nieces and nephews; her four-legged granddog, Zoe; and an abundance of friends.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St., Circleville. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2017, with visitation an hour prior. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery.
