Margaret Leatha Wise, 91, of Chillicothe, formerly of Circleville, passed away April 1, 2017, at Adena Hospital in Chillicothe.
She was born March 13, 1926, in Johnson City, Tennessee, the daughter of Jesse J. and Anna Pearl (Strouth) Green.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John D. Wise in 1999; and brothers, Don, Gene, Glen, Bob and Jesse Green.
Margaret grew beautiful flowers and could always be found in her garden. She enjoyed shopping and doing word search puzzles, and she loved her family. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, and she went all out decorating for the occasion.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Margaret Anne (Don) Lambert of Stoutsville; grandchildren, Donnie (Brenda) Lambert, Cheryl (John) Wall, Ronda Plaskett and Sandy (Charlie) Hacker; five great-grandchildren; stepson, Johnny Wise; step-grandchildren, Kevin Wise and Tanya Hindimin; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at noon on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, with the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St., Circleville. Bob Green will officiate. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Chillicothe.
