Ruth (Blazer) Dyke, 85, of Frankfort, died at 9:25 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Genesis Healthcare of Circleville.
She was born on Dec. 13, 1931, in Ross County, the daughter of the late Forrest and Effie Bost Blazer.
On Sept. 4, 1947, she married Paul E. Dyke, who preceded her in death on March 3, 2009.
Ruth is survived by one daughter, Vicki Cupp of Frankfort; daughter-in-law, Melinda Dyke of Scottsville, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Craig (Katie) Dyke, Leah Dyke and Matthew Cupp; two sisters, Helen Skaggs of Columbus and Beverly Simkins of Frankfort; sister-in-law, Alberta Colburn of Chillicothe; and three brothers, Forrest Blazer Jr. of Nipgen, Gary (Sherry) Blazer of Washington Court House and Larry (Diana) Blazer of Sacramento, California.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gregory Dyke, on April 6, 2016; and by one sister, Carleen Tennant.
Ruth was a 1949 graduate of Unioto High School and worked 17 years as an Advanced EMT for Concord Township, where she also served as treasurer.
Family and friends are invited to gather at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, for a graveside service in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, with Pastor Dan Bennett officiating. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort.
