Mary Pearl Mills, 89, formerly of Amanda, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Bickford Senior Living.
She was born Oct. 21, 1927, in New Holland, to the late Harry and Daisy (Riley) Orihood.
Mary was a lifelong member of the Amanda Presbyterian Church and retired from General Electric in Circleville.
She loved to travel with her husband and best friend.
She is survived by her children, S. Patrick (Barbara) Mills of Columbus and Kathy (Don) Campbell of Amanda; grandchildren, Alesia (Chris) Miller, Scott Campbell, Terri (Bill) Carr, Steven (Teri) Mills and Jennifer (William) Picnic; great-grandchildren, Katie and Jacob Miller, William and Austin Cleveland and Juliea Picnic; sisters-in-law, Thelma Mills and Marion Orihood; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Mills; son, Michael M. Mills; brothers, Neil and Dick Orihood; brother-in-law, Charles “Junior” Mills; and life-long friend, Doris Poling.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Rev. Michael Mistic officiating. Burial to follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
