Charlotte C. Lurty, 70, of Circleville, passed from this life on Friday, April 28, 2017, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 4, 1946, in Chillicothe, to Gordon E. and Naomi R. (Fowler) Seymour.
Surviving are daughters, Jeannette (John) Branham of Stoutsville and Marjorie (Lanny) Steele of Chillicothe; sons, Richard C. (Nicole) Lurty and Robert C. (Rhonda) Lurty, all of Chillicothe; nine grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; her companion of many years, John W. Imler III of Circleville and his children, John (Lisa) Imler IV, Troy A. (Mindy) Imler and Charlotte Bradshaw; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandson; sister, Geraldine (James) Burt of Trenton; brother, Eugene Seymour of Chillicothe; sisters-in-law, Linda Seymour and Janet Seymour of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Richard “Rick” Lurty; an infant brother; and brothers, Arthur and Donald Seymour.
Charlotte was a member of AMVETS 2256 and FOE Aeire 685 in Circleville.
The Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home is honored to serve the family. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
