Herbert E. Seymour, age 92, of Ashville, passed away at Chillicothe VA Medical Center on Saturday, May 13, 2017.
Herb was born in Columbus to the late Harley and Lilly (Ward) Seymour on June 30, 1924.
Herb was a graduate of Ashville Harrison High School and served in the U.S. Navy with ROTC, attending The Ohio State University during World War II.
Herb retired out of the Columbus Pipefitters Union working in the construction business.
He attended Village Chapel Church in Ashville and a member of Rick Brown VFW in South Bloomfield.
Herb was preceded in death by first wife, Sonia A. Seymour, in 2005; and a son, James Seymour.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon Norris; sons, John (Janice) Seymour of Ashville, Michael (Beth) Seymour of Columbus and Jeffrey (Debra) Seymour of Kingston; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Herb requested cremation to take place, and a graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017, with Pastor Kevin Pees officiating at Harrison Twp. Cemetery.
