Stephen E. Brown, 64, of Ashville, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017, at Berger Hospital.
He was born Dec. 16, 1952, in Circleville, the son of the late Frederick Eugene and Lindy Anne (Parker) Brown.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Eugene Brown.
Steve graduated from Marion Franklin High School and from Franklin University with a bachelor’s degree. He worked 25 years at Crane Plastics and the last 10 years for UPS Freight.
Steve was a member of Circle of Light Worship Center. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking, beekeeping, tormenting the kids and grandkids and spending time with his family. He was an avid Buckeyes and Steelers fan and was known to make the best biscuits and gravy.
Steve is survived by his loving family: his loving wife of 35 years, Virginia Kay (Clark) Brown; children, Dale Lee (Sheri) Morris Jr., Bill Morris, Missty (Tullio) Agriesti and Steve and Stephanie Scott; grandchildren, Kristen, Kayla, Derek, Jacob and Kortney Morris; great-granddaughter, Aria Morris; sister, Barbra Rose (Mitchell) Rigsby; father- and mother-in-law, Loren and Virginia Clark; brother-in-law, Rick (Mary) Clark; several nieces and nephews; and faithful canine companions, Rosie and Stormin’ Norman.
Steve’s funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017, at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Curt Combs officiating. Burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
