Joshua W. Lewis, 28, of Rushville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Grant Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 11, 1988, in Ceiba, Puerto Rico.
Joshua was a 2007 graduate of Lancaster High School and a member of Hedges Chapel Church in Ashville.
He is survived by his sons, Brayden and Kyler Lewis; mother, Jolene (Dave) Marcum of Amanda; father, Jeff (Dawn) Lewis of Lancaster; brothers and sisters, Eddie (Chelsea) Eismon, Heather (Josh) Graley, Clay (Helen) Mills, Cole (Jezamyn) Mills, Annmarie Marcum and Maycie Reed; grandparents, Homer (Linda) Lewis, Tom (Betty) Harber, Millie Kern and Phil (Judy) Dingus; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeremy Lewis.
Joshua was an organ donor, and through his death he was able to give others life.
A cremation has been handled with care, and a memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Jeremy Hurd officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
