Wilbur R. Knisley

Wilbur Russell Knisley, age 82, went to be with the Lord June 27, 2017.

He was born July 24, 1934, to Russell & Lillie (Harbage) Knisley in South Solon.

A graduate of Washington Senior High School, Wilbur lived in the Washington Court House area before moving with his family to Conyers, Georgia, in 1972. He retired from Duplex Products and moved to Circleville seven years ago.

He loved going camping and made many trips to the Great Smokey Mountains. He also loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by daughters, Sue Benner of Circleville, Twana (Kerry) Beaver of Wildwood, Missouri, and Mary (John) Keenan of Cleveland, Tennessee; son, Brian (Kellie) Knisley of Canton, Georgia; grandchildren, Shelley (Robert) Fauver and Krista Benner of Circleville, Jay Knisley of Columbia, South Carolina, Bryson Beaver of Wildwood, Missouri, and Rachel and Sean Keenan of Cleveland, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Amaya and Aliya Fauver of Circleville; sisters, Gladys Marhoover, Marie (Neil) Matson and Joyce (Owen) Johnson; and sisters-in-law, Carolyn Knisley and Sally Knisley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Knisley and Neil Knisley; sister, Naomi Cooper; and son-in-law, Don Benner.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at noon on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at the Wellman Funeral Home, 1455 N. Court St., Circleville, with Rev. Dean Queen officiating. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon on Saturday. Burial will be in the South Solon Cemetery immediately following the service.

A special thank you to Logan Elm Health Care and Heartland Hospice for their loving care and ministry to our father. Many of the staff and residents became like family to him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Rd., Columbus, OH 43215; or to the family for expenses.
