Gregory Gary, 63, of Ray, passed from this life at 7:04 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2017, at OSU Wexner Medical Center, following an extended illness.
He was born July 29, 1953, in Chillicothe, to the late Stephen A. and Donna D. Anderson Gary.
On July 27, 1979, he married the former Lisa G. Goble, who preceded him in death Aug. 11, 2016.
Surviving are a daughter, Courtney Oliva Gary, at home; his cat, “Smudgie”; a brother, Stephen (Judy) Gary and their son C.J., all of Clarksburg; a sister, Rebecca (Don) Dixon of Richmond Dale and their daughter, Jessica (Matt) Biggers of Beavercreek, and their daughters, Eleanor and Abigail.
Greg was retired owner and operator of former Gary Lumber Inc. and was known for this ability to fix anything. He was past member of Jefferson Township Volunteer Fire Dept.
Joint services will be held for both Greg and Lisa at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at the Ware Funeral Home, Chillicothe, with Pastor David Sulley officiating. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery, Richmond Dale. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Ware Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chris Gary Memorial Fund, c/o PCCF, 770 N. Court St., Circleville, Ohio 43113.
