Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Sims, 92, of Circleville, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Pickaway Manor.
She was born March 31, 1923, in Circleville, the daughter of Russell and Dorothy (Strawser) Fausnaugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nolan Sims in 2000; brother, Clarence Fausnaugh; daughter-in-law, Jean Sims; and sister-in-law, Linda Fausnaugh.
Betty was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and retired from General Electric after 33 years of service. She loved her family and was especially close to her grandchildren. She enjoyed her dogs and was known to bake great-tasting pies.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Marguerite (Tom) Murtaugh of Cincinnati; sons, Gary Sims and Rick (Peggy) Sims of Circleville; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Clyde (Helen) Fausnaugh, Ted Fausnaugh and Larry (Judy) Fausnaugh.
A funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Gruver officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
